Admissions GPS is the college fit planning platform built on a simple idea: the right college is not always the highest-ranked one. Founded in October 2025 by Mike Harp and based in Brooklyn, New York, Admissions GPS filters the 4,000 colleges into Your Fit 20, a personalized set of school recommendations for each student based on their priorities across five weighted factors: Admissions Odds, Program Strength, Affordability, Campus Culture, and Academic Outcomes.

We source data from the Department of Education's College Scorecard, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), and Common Data Sets published by individual schools, along with a range of other validated sources refreshed on an ongoing basis.
